a. Note:   Giles Witt James Giles Witt James, 99, of Shelbyville, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at his home. He was born in Henry County, the son of the late Fount and Anna James, and was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He was also a farmer.
 He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Betsy and Fred Allen, Shelbyville; three nieces: Dorothy Watkins, Pleasureville, and Frances Downey and Elizabeth Hinton, both of Louisville; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-seven years, Mary Blache Nolin James; two son: Reuben and Donald James, Sr.; one brother: Willie James and two sisters: Ollie Aynes and Emma Martin.
 Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Kenneth Shouse, Pastor the New Liberty Christian Church in Anderson County and Rev. Kenny Talbott, Chaplain at the Women’s Correctional Institute in Pewee Valley, officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
