a. Note:   Alice Jones James In loving memory of Mrs. Alice Jones James who departed this life September 3, 1924. She was born August 22, 1862 and married Edward James May 26, 1886. She joined the Franklinton Baptist Church when 18 years old and lived a faithful member until death, although sickness kept her from attending as she would like to have done.
 She leaves two children: Willie D. James and Nora Lee Thompson. Four grand children; three sisters: Mrs. Arbenia Jones, Annie E. Barton and Minnie Smith; and two brothers: Preston and Willie Jones and many friends who mourn her loss.
 Her funeral was preached in the Bethlehem Baptist Church by W. F. Sewell and Rev. Leek. She was laid to rest in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
