Hello Mr. David E. Hill in Pennsylvania! I received your email and can already give you some information about your late father, Mr. George Edwin Hill. In the attachment I send you two photos of the burial site Frommann / Diebener / Hill. This burial site is located in the old cemetery “Auf den Berglloch” in Homberg (Efze). A colleague of mine was until recently the choir director of the Homberger Liedertafel (a men's choir). I learned from him that your father was not a singer of this choir. The Homberger Liedertafel is still there. In the past, however, there was also a folk choir in Homberg (today cantare musica). Your father is said to have been a singer in this folk choir (probably only for a short time). Other people (Homberg citizens who might remember) should still be interviewed. Maybe there are even photos that we could send you later. A citizen from Homberg can actually remember your father and told my colleague in conversation about the former Volks-Chor that your father was probably called "Eddy" there or called. If we know more or receive further information, I will contact you. Greetings from Homberg (Efze).
