 Lillian Marie Ely of Rose Lodge died at her home on the Salmon River Highway, Thursday, Oct. 25, at the age of 52.
 Born in Conway Springs, Kan., in 1938, she later worked as a secretary and for the U.S. Army for five years until her husband retired from the service.
 She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles.
 A memorial service was held at St. Peter the Fisherman Lutheran Church Sunday, Nov. 11, with Larry Rohlfing officiating.
 Survivors include her husband, Fred H. Ely of Rose Lodge; two sons, Charles A.P. Ely of Portland and John E.B. Ely of Springfield; a sister, Charleene Briggs of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Wynona Johnson of Clearwater, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
 Riverview Abbey Funeral Home handled the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials in her name be given to the American Cancer Society.
