  Clarence Snider Odell was born in Charleston, Illinois, June 6, 1841. He was united in marriage with Agnes C. Berry, March 1, 1861. He is survived by his wife and nine children, three sons and six daughters, one son having died in infancy. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1867 and remained a faithful follower to the end. His dying words were that he was ready and willing to go. He was a good and kind father and a loving and devoted husband. He died at Lake City, Ks., March 23, aged 73 years, 9 months, 17 days. Mr. Odell and family lived north of Clearwater at one time. The body was brought back here last Thursday and the funeral held in the Methodist church conducted by Rev. Whinery assisted by Rev. Wilkerson and Rev. Clapper of Peck. Interment was made in the Clearwater cemetery.
