Note: 7 Former Clearwater Woman Passes Away Mrs. Ernest L. Leedy, of Wichita but formerly of Clearwater passed away last Sunday morning. The following obituary was read by Mr. Moore at the services which were held at the Clearwater Christian Church Tuesday afternoon. In the wee small hours of the morning of Aug, 4th, 1894, twin daughters came to the home of Mr. And Mrs. W.B. Hall, who lived one and one half miles west of Clearwater. One of these little visitors was named Glenna. As she passed from the stages of babyhood to childhood and on to womanhood, she provided herself, indeed, a blessing, not only with her dainty ways and sweet disposition, but in her filial love and self sacrifice for her parents. Her home training led she at the age of 14 to unite with the Christian church, in which she was a faithful and diligent worker in the cause of Christ. Three years of her young womanhood were spent in Clearwater working and in pleasant association with her friends and relatives. On the 27th day of June, 1915, she was united in marriage to Ernest L. Leedy at the home of her sister in Clebourne, Kansas. During the 11 years of her married life, her husband and children have had their pathways softened continuously by her acts of self-sacrifice and devotion. The change to higher works came on Sunday morning, January 2, 1927 and on the other shore with her mother, a brother, and two sisters, she awaits the coming of a loving husband, two children Wynona and Ernest Lyle, a father; two brothers, Fleming Hall of St. Louis, Mo., and Loren Hall of Tulsa; four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Hammers, Clearwater, Mrs. Edna Burgess, Northeast, Pa., Mrs. Susie Howell, Afton, Okla., and her twin sister, Mrs. Grace Cook of Peck, Kansas; besides many dear friends. "thus love will dream, and faith will trust. (Since He who knows our need is just.) That somehow, somewhere, meet we must, for we have learned in ours of faith, the truth to flesh and sense unknown. That Life is ever lord of Death, and love can never lose its Own:" She was laid to rest in the Clearwater Cemetery. The Randolph Enterprise, Randolph, Riley County, Kansas, Thursday, July 1, 1915 There was a wedding in town Sunday afternoon, Miss Glen Hall a sister of Mrs. J.C. Bleadsoe was married but we have failed to learn the bridegroom's name. Miss Hall has made many friends here during her visits who wish her happiness. Rev. Carlson officiating.
