 Anna Gustafson was born in Sweden, August 16, 1836 and died at Clearwater, Kansas, December 2, 1915, aged 79 years, 3 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage with John Larson in 1856. To this union were born three children, one daughter and two sons, one of whom August Johnson, of this place, survive her. The other two children died in early children. Her husband also died in Sweden, August 19, 1864. She emigrated to the United States in 1869 and came to Kansas in 1870, where she has since made her home. She was the second time united in marriage to C.G. Furman July 10, 1874. To this union were born three sons, two of whom, Ernest of Clearwater and H.E. of Coldwater survive her. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church when she was 15 years of age and united with M.E. church at New Sweden in 1894. She was a true Christian and a kind and loving mother, besides a host of friends and relatives, she leaves to mourn her loss, her three sons and families. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church here Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev W.V. Whinery. Interment was in the Clearwater Cemetery.
