Note: f her Uncle Joseph Wells, Miss Maud Wells, of Cando, to John M. Ely, of Minot, by Rev. C.A. Mack. The groom is a well known business man of Minot, and has a large circle of acquaintances throughout this entire section of the country. The bride is an estimable lady of Cando, who will add greatly to the social circles of Minot. The host of friends in the locality extend to them their hearty congratulation over lifes voyage. Funeral Rites Monday for Mrs. John Ely Grangeville, March 3. - Funeral services for Mrs. John M. Ely, 69, who died suddenly yesterday of a hear attack, will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon at he Hancock chapel. The Rev. W.O. Benthin will officiate. Interment will be at the Prairie View cemetery. Mrs. Ely, the former Maud Virginia Wells, was born Feb 23, 1875, at Askley, Pike county, Mo. She was the daughter of James M. Wells and Sarah Ann Bock Wells. The family moved to California in 1878. She was married to John Ely at Cando, N.D., Feb 29, 1896. The next year they moved to Kalispell, Mont. In 1909 they moved to a farm near Grangeville where they have since made their home. She was a member of the Federated church of Grangeville. Survivors are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Robert Lee, Fenn; Mrs. William Altman, Grangeville; and Mrs. Dale Faust, Sunnyside, Wash; her mother and one sister who live in California, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
