The father of Natalie Frier Ely was William Henry Ely, farmer, born 19 June 1857 at Center, Died 8 February 1952. On 6 March 1879 he married Mary Manand Liter (8 December 1859 - 13 April 1938). They are buried at Olivet. Their children, besides Natalie, were Jesse Eugene (8 December 1879 - 25 August 1967) and Roberta Neal Ely (21 march 1906 - 4 September 1925) and both are buried at Olivet (sic). The father of William Henry Ely was John A. Ely, born 5 September 1802, and is buried in Cando, N. Dak. he married Mary Amanda Lane. The parents of John A. Ely were Isaace and Mary Judy Ely who came to Missouri from Boone County, Kentucky in 1809 and settled west of New London in Bethel community.
