Hubert 'Jean' Howell
passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the age of 85. He was born on November 16, 1923 in Afton, OK to the late Luther and Susie Howell. Jean enlisted in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service, but went on from there to accomplish many other things in his life. He 'retired' and moved to the Lake County area over 24 years ago with his loving wife of 47 years June Howell. Jean is also survived by one son Hugh (Triston) Howell of Santa Clara, CA., two daughters Landa (John) Morris of San Jose, CA., and Jennifer Jackson of Longmont, CO., and five grand children. Visitation for Jean will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 in the Page-Theus Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Jean will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, Sept 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Charles Nicks officiating. Burial in Florida National Cemetery will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL.
