Uncle Carl, was shot while in Korea, and left on the battle field for dead. An unknown soldier found him and brought him to a hospital. He suffured the loss of one lung and was listed as M. I. A., for over three months. Aunt Francis was at a movie and observed a news reel of her missing brother in the hospital, She contacted the war dept. an let them known what she had scene. Uncle Carl recieved a Purple Heart.
