a. Note:   N19 Homesteading: In the Spring of 1874 Jacob and Eliza ALLINGER, with her parents, moved to Kansas and became homesteaders. On September 22, 1882 Jacob made the final payment on his homestead application. On June 24, 1884 President Chester A. Arthur signed the homestead application.
  They moved to Washington state in the Fall of 1905.
