Note: N195 Obituary from Fort William Daily Times-Journal, Thursday, Dec. 15, 1904, page 1. John Chitty, third son of Mr. George Chitty, clerk in the department of Indian affairs of the Dominion government, Ottawa. The deceased had been suffering from typhoid fever for about five weeks and was considered convalescent, when symptoms which proved fatal set in and the end came peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 10. The funeral was held on Monday, from his home at Mrs. Sills, Vicker street, at 1:30 p.m. and was conducted by the Rev. W. L. H. Rowand, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Mr. Chitty leaves to mourn his loss a widow and one child, a little daughter, Ruby, aged four years. They have the sympathy of friends and acquaintances.
