 Obituary:
 Was active in Amador GOP
 Ella Hutchins, a resident of Jackson for the last 36 years, died of heart failure sunday, July 16, 1995, at her home at the age of 90.
 Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Mrs. Hutchins was very active in the Republican Party and was president of the Amador County Republican Women in 1982. For her service to the Republican Party she was awarded the Republican Congressional Order of Liberty on Nov. 19, 1993.
 She was a member in good standing of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 66. She joined Soto Yomi Chapter 82 of Healdsburg on April 26, 1949. She was past matron of Healdsburg Chapter and Golden Star Chapter 66.
 Mrs. Hutchins was involved with the Five Counties Senior Association, serving as chairwoman of the group in 1979, and was a former president of the board of directors of the Amador County nutrition program.
 She was an avid bridge player and for many years played with a group that met at Stocton Savings Bank on Friday afternoons. Another of her interests was a rhythm band that played for weddings and other functions.
 Friends said she touched many lives and will be fondly remembered.
 She is survived by a grandson, Todd Hutchins, and a great-granddoughter, Karen Christine Hutchins, both of Sacramento.
