Note: Obituary: Graveside services for Oscar J. Thompson, 78, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Ocean View Cemetary. Officers of WWI Barracks will officiate under direction of Harper Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson was born in Port Crecent Feb. 15, 1895, to Mr. and Mrs. John W. Thompson. He died in Port Angeles Friday.
He worked as a logger and lived in this area all his life. He was a member of WWI Barracks and Eagles Lodge.
Survivors are a son Robert K. of Port Angeles; brothers Henry and Victor; sisters Emily Hoffman and Hannette Nason, all of Port Angeles, and sisters Marie Burnham of Seatle and Julia Damson of Sacramento; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
