a. Note:   Marriage recorded at Braintree as Jacob H. Whitcomb of Randolph, 22, clerk, born at Randolph, son of Jacob & ---- Whitcomb, first marriage; and Elizabeth A. White of Randolph, 20, born at Randolph, daughter of Jairus & ----- White, first marriage; married by R. S. Stover, D.D., Pastor of 1st Ch.
  The will of Warren Poole, dated 24 Sep 1855, proved 18 Oct 1862, mentions "granddaughter Elizabeth A. Whitcomb, daughter of Jairus White of Randolph." [Norfolk Probate, 14831].. Died ae 23 years, 6 months Consulted with Frank Dyer [ref 87], and concluded that she is the individual whose ancestry is given above. I had her name and birthdate in Jacob Henry Whitcomb's family Bible. Her grandfather, Warren Poole, left a bequest to his granddaughter Elizabeth Whitcomb in his will, dated 1855.
  Death recorded at Randolph as Elizabeth Whitcomb, aged 23y 6m 14d, died 24 Oct 1855 at Franklin St. of typhoid fever, wife, born at Randolph, daughter of Jarius [sic] and Betsey White.
