Notes
a. Note:   Birth recorded at Newbury as Mary G. Colby, d. of Joshua & Sarah.
Marriage recorded at Newburyport as Benjamin [Horton, int.] Bigsby and Mrs. Mary G[awn, int.] Colby., [I see no evidence that she had an earlier marriage, and her birth was recorded as Mary G. Colby. An older sister's birth was recorded as Mary Gawn Colby. She apparently died young. So I think "Mrs." was a courtesy title, rather than indicating a previous marriage.]
Death recorded at Salisbury as Mary G. Bigsby, widow, age 76y 5m, died at Newbury of paralysis of heart 11 April 1895, ae. 76y 5m; resided at Salisbury; housewife; born at Newburyport, daughter of Joshua Colby, born at Newburyport, and Sarah Doyle, born at Rockport.
