  Marriage recorded at Birstal, St Peter, as John Parkinson, 24, bachelor, Mason, of Roberttown, son of Matthew Parkinson, Clothier, and Emma Brook, 23, spinster, of Roberttown, dau. of William Brook, farmer, married 10 March 1850 at Birstal. Witnesses: David Sheard and George Bramley. [W Yorks Mar 1813-1922]
  Marriage registered as John Parkinson & Emma Brook, March 1850 at Dewsbury. [GRO Index 22:15].
  Listed in the 1861 U. K. census [7 April] as John Parkinson, age 35, head of household at Liversedge, Dewsbury, Yorkshire; born at Liversedge, a stone mason.
  Died before his widow Emma married Samuel Rodgers, marriage registered June 1869. There are two possible deaths registered at Dewsbury in this time period and listed in the GRO index: Mar 1863 [9b:360]; and Dec 1864 [9b:381].
