Notes
a. Note:   Born in London England. Birth registered 1847 III London District, England [GRO Index, vol. 2, p. 15[79]. Baptism recorded as Amelia Lever, born 3 June 1847, baptized 27 June 1847 at St Botolph, Aldersgate, London, England, daughter of James & Emma Lever of 10 Winchester Court, father a baker. [London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906] Family records give her birthdate as 3 Jun 1854, so she seems to have shed a few years between England and the USA.,
Listed in the 1880 U.S. census, enumerated 8 June, in the household of Leonard A. Fread, a fish dealer, in Brookline, Massachusetts, as Amelia Lever, age 26, servant, born in England, parents born in England. [Rol T9_548; FHL film 1254548; Page: 376.4000; Enum. Dist. 509; Image 0034]. Interestingly, the next-door neighbors were Jerome Jones, crockery dealer, his son Theodore and three daughters, and his sister, their housekeeper. Since George Beake worked for Jerome & Theodore Jones, this is undoubtedly how they met.
From George Beake's Bible: "My Dear Wife Amelia Beake died Jany 17 1934 Aged 78 years 8 months 3 days. We had been married 53 years and i thank God for her love and companionship down through the Journey of life and hope to meet her in Heaven."
Buried in Lot 559A, Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham, Mass.
