  Second marriage recorded at Bridgewater as Abner Derby of Randolph, age 54, Manufacturer, born at Weymouth, son of Abner & Mary Derby, second marriage; 14 Feb 1850, to Ascah [sic] Richards of Randolph, age 54, born at Sharon, daughter of Jeremiah & Patience Richards, first marriage, by Rev. David Brigham of Bridgewater.
  Cemetery transcription from the NEHGS manuscript collection: Abner Derby, July 22, 1862, @ 66-10- [Union Cemetery]. Frank Dyer gives place of death as Randolph, Norfolk, Massachusetts, with burial in Union Cemetery in Holbrook, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
  Family correspondence states that he died in Elmira, New York, and he is in fact found there in the US census for 1860, age 64, along with his wife Achseh, age 65 and Lydia W., age 24. Occupation given as "Cutter". It is quite possible that he died in New York and was brought back to be buried in a family plot, with the death registered also in Randolph.
