Listed in the 1851 England Census in father's household, Lodge Farm, Kington St Michael, Wilts, as William Douse, son, age 4 months, born at Kington St M. [HO107/1836/640/p. 7/GSU roll 220983].
Marriage registered as William Douse, June 1873 at Devizes [GRO Index 5a:211].
I believe the farm where he lived in Stoneham MA is now the Unicorn Golf Club. The farmhouse, I believe, is now the Arnold House, 450 William Street, Stoneham MA. I am still in the process of researching this. He died of cancer of the parotid. Jon Davis remembers that he had a growth on his neck, which is consistent with this.
Inscription by Clara's brother George Beake on a photograph of him: "...Buried in Stoneham Mass Cemetary April the 27/26"
