[IGI Batch C541841] Florence Gertrude [Bixby] Richardson [3-8.8] told myself and Robert Hawes that John James Bixby had two "sisters", Edith and Florence. Florence had a daughter Gertrude, hence her own name, Florence Gertrude.
  Marriage recorded as Theodore H. Bixby of Boston, age 30, Real Estate Agent, born at Guysborough, Nova Scotia, son of Abram and Elizabeth, first marriage; and Florence N. Scott of Boston, age 26, born at Guysborough, daughter of William G. and Elizabeth, first marriage; married by Joseph H. Mansfield of Boston.
  Listed in the 1930 US census in the household of Maurice W. Crosby [indexed by Ancestry as Maruice W Crosley], at 31 Baker St., Foxoborugh, Norfolk, Massachusetts; as Florence M Bixby, Mother-in-Law, age 75, widowed, born in Canada (English), both parents born in Canada; immigrated 1879, Naturalized. [Roll 934; p. 9A, ED 49; Image 607.0] She would have become a citizen through her husband, so he was naturalized. From my mother's diary, 21 Jan 1933: "Went over to Grandma's. Aunt Flo was there. She was 78 yrs old - still very spry."
