Note: From a newspaper clipping kept with Esther L. (White) Beake's Birthday Book: "Miss Alice Beake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. I. Beake of 57 Albert Street, took second place in the senior girls division of the water skiing events at a recent water carnival on Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham, N. H. Her sister, Barbara, took first place in the intermediate division of the same event." [Probably from the Melrose Free Press, 1962].
