  Marriage recorded at Halifax as Seth Kitchen, 22, Bachelor, Cloth Miller, of Elland, son of Jonathan Kitchen, Cloth Miller, and Emmaline Wood, 21, Spinster, of Elland, daughter of William Wood, Mechanic, married 12 march 1865 after Banns, by George Bagot. Witnesses: Arthur Jennings Kitchen and James Coates. [West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1922]
  Listed in the 1871 UK census as head of household at Elland with Greetland, aged 35, born at Greetland, a woollen cloth fuller.
  Listed in the 1881 Canadian census as Seth Kitchen, Head of Household at Paris Town, Brant North, Ontario; aged 43; born in England; a Factory Hand; religion: Church of England. His wife Emmaline and five children were listed as well.
  Apparently emigrated to Canada between 1873, when his daughter Florence was born in England, and 1875 when Harriet was born in Canada.
