Note: hter of th late Mellow and Iva (Hovey) Pond. Mrs. Jewett was a school teacher, a member of the Mactaquac United Baptist Church and a member of the Mactaquac Women's Missionary Society. She is survived by one son, Owen Jewett (Ena) of Keswick Ridge; six grandchildren, many great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; one sister, Iva Currie of York Manor, Fredericton; two brothers, Hughie Pond of Marysville and Clarence Pond (Lena) of Saint John; two half sisters, Georgie Welch of Fredericton and Beatrice Johnson (Ronald) of McAdam; one half-brother, Reginald Pond (Ruth) of Douglas; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Irvine Carl Jewett; granddaughter, Gail Morehouse; one sister, Marjorie McNally; half-brother, Albert Pond. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Mactaquac United Baptist Church on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at 3 pm with Pastor Roger Urquhart officiating. Interment will follow in the Mactaquac United Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are: Keanen Jewett, Michael Vincent, Paul Vincent, Shawn Morehouse, Aaron Morehouse and Keith Allen.
