a. Note:   e daughter of the late Mellow and Emma (Hovey) Pond. Iva worked in the office for S.M. White Woodworking for several years. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Society, Ladies' Aid, and a former choir member. Mrs. Currie is survived by her daughter, Shirley Edmondson (Ross) of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Elaina (Pierre) Borloz of Switzerland, Lisa (Cedric) Buettner of Boston, MA, and Eric (Stacey) Edmondson of Barrie, ON; four great grandchildren, Jacob and Michelle Buettner and Taylor and Alexandra Edmondson; three brothers, Hughie Pond of Marysville, Clarence Pond (Lena) of Saint John, and Reginald Pond (Ruth) of Douglas; two sisters, Georgia Welch of Fredericton and Beatrice Johnson (Ronald) of McAdam; several nieces and nephews including one special nephew Arthur Pond (Teresa) of Seattle, WA. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie McNally and Leola Jewett. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Room of the church. Interment will take place at 1:00 PM in Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
