a. Note:   er of ADA VIRGINIA (FOGG) DAVIS and SANDY DAVIS of Franklin County, North Carolina, who were married January 29, 1879 in that County. The following is quoted from her obituary in 1957:
  "As a child she was baptised in the Corn Cob Baptist Church of Franklin County and became an active member at an early age. Upon making her home in Warren County, she joined the Lovely Hill Baptist Church. After the death of her husband she joined the Little Zion Baptist Church because it was convienent for her to attend with her family. A few months ago she moved her membership back to the Lovely Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by 10 children; 4 daughters, and 6 sons. 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. 2 sisters; 2 brothers, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.The late Mrs. Pattie Davis, devoted her life to her family and friends. Although she will be missed by both, her indelible influence has been left upon the two and the seeds which she planted will some day grow and burst forth into maturity."
  The services were held at The New Lovely Hill Baptist Church, Macon,North Carolina. Officiated by Rev. J. H. Foster. Funeral Director: O. Manson Green.
  *Note: The Obituary had the wrong name for the father of Pattie C. Davis. Her father was Sandy Davis, born August 1852, of Franklin County, North Carolina

 SANDY DAVIS was the son of RICHARD DUKE DAVIS & MARTHA DAVIS, former slaves; ADA VIRGINIA FOGG was the daughter of WILLIAM FOGG & LOUISIANA DUNSTON, Free People of Color, who were married on Sept.15, 1857 in Franklin County. ADA's sister, MAGGIE, was married to WILLIE HUNT, and they were the parents of GUSSIE HUNT, married HENRY P. WILLIAMS, son of ALLEN WILLIAMS & WINNIE KEARNEY; HENRY & GUSSIE (HUNT) WILLIAMS were the parents of BERT WILLIAMS, who married ESTHER SNEED. SANDY DAVIS, b. 1852 Franklin Co.,NC, died January 29, 1920 Judkins Twp., Warren Co.,NC of Paralysis, non -cerebral, his son CHARLIE DAVIS, was the informant; his tombstone is in Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. ADA VIRGINIA FOGG-DAVIS, b. 1859 Franklin Co., died March 18, 1946 Warrenton, Warren Co.,NC; she is buried in Marmaduke, probably also at Little Zion Cemetery.
