Note: , he was going by the name of WILLIAMS, the same as his wife, DELIA. He and DELIA apparently separated sometime around 1900 because she was living with their daughter HARRIET, and her husband at that time, while TRIM WILLIAMS was living alone. By 1910, TRIM had remarried to SYER ALSTON, but she apparently died by 1920 since he was listed as a "widower" for that year. I do know from family sources that HUBBARD WILLIAMS was known as the brother of either TRIM & DELIA WILLIAMS, and that he was the Uncle of their children, so it is definite that DELIA WILLIAMS was HUBBARD's sister as seen in the KEARNEY SLAVE RECORDS. --------- Update: 6/30/2009 (DW) According to TRIM's death certificate, his parents were ADAM & HARRIET WILLIAMS. So far, I have no further info about them. It was more likely that they were ALSTONs, since that was actually the surname that TRIM was using when he married DELIA. ==================== From the Slave Records for Cherry Hill Plantation, TRIM was age 21 (b. about 1839) as listed in the May 1860 Estate of GEORGE W. ALSTON. There was also a ADAM, age 45 (b. abt 1815) in that list, who was likely to have been TRIM's father as indicated in his death certificate. The listing is here: http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~genealogyfriend/cher-hill.htm
Note: TRIM ALSTON was listed in the Cohabitation records as with the surname of ALSTON, but by 1880
