a. Note:   ng to do with the disposition of the estate of WILLIAM GREEN in a land dispute in 1907. (see the file of WILLIAM A. GREEN, b. 1786) According to family stories, JACOB was so disliked by the GREEN family heirs afterwards, that he left town sometime after the case was settled in Court. I am not sure where he and his wife may have gone since I haven't found any record of their deaths, although it is possible that they both died sometime between 1910 and 1913, which was when North Carolina started requiring death certiificates.
