a. Note:   ame is correct and if it could actually have been MARTHA COPELAND, daughter of BENJAMIN COPELAND & FRANCES HAWKINS? There were no COLCLOUGHs anywhere around at the time, the closest one of color was in Wake County, none named MARTHA or PATSY. MARTHA COPELAND disappears from the records after the 1860 census and it could be that this was actually her. Also, the fact that SOLOMON MILLS & MARTHA had a set of twins could point to a COPELAND connection because BENJAMIN COPELAND's family tended to have twins. Of note, too, is the fact that SOLOMON & MARTHA's daughter, MARY V. MILLS, shows that her mother was MARTHA COPELAND on her death certificate. Unfortunately, Warren County has no copy of the Marriage license on this which may have listed her parents, because it was prior to their keeping records of marriages with parents names, however, I will continue to see what I can find out about this, and in the meanwhile, I am going to assume that this was actually MARTHA COPELAND, unless I find out otherwise.
