a. Note:   s executor, and his grandson, HOPKINS HENDERSON (whom he called BALDIE HENDERSON), as his chief beneficiary. However, by the time that ALEX died in 1903, both PETER & HOPKINS had died before him; interestingly enough, RICHARD G. SNEED, one of the family's former slaveowners who also lived nearby, was appointed as executor when the will was brought up for probate in April 1903.
