Notes
a. Note:   ARDSON, and that they were both deceased at that time, however, she was not listed among the names of their children on the RICHARDSON FAMILY CHART that was submitted along with a group of Applications to the Dawes Commission under the title of COFIELD RICHARDSON et. al. in 1896 which gave a descriptive list of descendants of the RICHARDSON families. The Chart does have many flaws anyway, since it is obvious it contains info from those who were still living in 1896, some of whom may not have known all of the names of family members who had long since died or who were not well-known to them. But on the whole, the RICHARDSON FAMILY CHART is one of the most extensive listing of family members I've seen and does contain a lot of good info about family relationships, it has proven to be a very valuable document to have for the research of the RICHARDSON and associated families.
SALLIE and her siblings were listed with the SILVER Surname in the 1870 Census where their mother had remarried to HENRY SILVER.
The Death Certificate for SALLIE YOUNG, shows age 56, died Jan. 29, 1915 in Fork Township, Wayne Co, at the State Hospital of Pellegra, married, and her usual address was Warren Co.,NC. It also shows that she had been in the hospital for over a year, but her parents weren't known, and she was buried at the State Hospital, the informant being W. A. MURPHY, M.D., of Goldsboro, Wayne Co.,NC. The problem is that it seems unlikely that SALLIE RICHARDSON-YOUNG would be buried at the State Hospital when it was tradition for the family to be buried at any of the several RICHARDSON cemeteries in Warren & Halifax Counties; also, all of her children were grown and lived nearby, and there would be no reason for her parents names not to be known, or at least to know that she was a RICHARDSON. Additionally, SALLIE's 2nd husband, WILLIAM HENRY YOUNG, died in 1917, and his death certificate shows his wife was still living. All of this brings up a lot of questions about why SALLIE's last days seems to have been one of abandonment and it is very sad that she died as an Unknown when there were plenty of family members who would have known something about her.
Note:   SALLIE RICHARDSON's Marriage Record in 1900 indicates that her parents were JIM and LUCY RICH
