Charlotte Rambo remembers her grandparents talking about the Indians that used to come from the reservation through the woods past the Richardson farm to Cheboygan. This worried Emily Major because the Indians would oftentimes return from town drunk. Charlotte also remembers that Thomas would also hire the Indians from time to time to work on the farm. Harriet and Thomas were fraternal twins.
Note:   Family legend has it that one time on their farm in Cheboygan, Tom's sons decided to play a practical joke. Late into the night they disassembled the family wagon piece by piece and reassembled it o
