She passed away on March 11, 1996, at the Renaissance Village Home in Fort Wayne, Ind., at the age of 102 years, 3 months and 8 days. Jessie moved to Nebraska at the age of 12, with her father and brother and settled on a farm near Campbell. She attended school in District No. 11 in Franklin County. She later moved to Geneva, after taking employment with the Jameson Hotel. She married Frank Emil Lindblom on Nov. 26, 1918, at Lincoln. Two sons were born to this marriage, Leroy and David. Frank and Jessie were engaged in farming southwest of Geneva until Frank's death in 1962. Jessie continued to live in the Geneva area until the spring of 1988 at which time she moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., to live with her son David. In December of 1990, due to failing health, Jessie became a resident of the Renaissance Village, where she remained until her death. Jessie was a farm wife and during her many years of life saw many changes and improvements for life on the farm. Her leisure hours were spent doing needlework. She was very adept at this and made many beautiful pieces of embroidery. Jessie lived a very long and full life and has left her family and friends all the better for having had the opportunity to know her and love her all these years. Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepmother, Sadie Place; brother Perry Owen Place; sister Florence Carlson; husband, Frank; son Leroy; and infant granddaughter, Shirley Ray Lindblom. She is survived by her son, David Perry Lindbloom and wife Sharon of Fort Wayne, Ind; daughter-in-law, Frances Lindblom of Scottsbluff; three granddaughters; one grandson; 10 great-grandchildren (one set of twin boys); three great-great-grandchildren (one set of twin boys); and brother, Dale Place of Geneva. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 14, from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Frank Bobbitt officiating. Music was provided by the National Music System's with selections being "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Abide With Me". Casket bearers were Bruce Lindbloom, Wallace Koch, Jack Place, Alfred Place, Jerome Carlson and Mike Janing.
