1983 Research report - Ray Madsen Started at marriage of Mary NELSON 1768 in Ormskirk to Joseph HIGHAM, both of Scarisbrick. Had 4 children - PEGGY (Margaret) 1771 = Wm HOWARD, Alice 1774 (must have died by 1779), Ellen 1776 Alice 1779 DISPROVED Mary Nelson b. 1732 dau of stranger Richard NELSON she would be 34 when married & 47 when last child born FOUND right Mary Nelson in Aughton, adjoins Ormskirk, chr. 1743 dau of Roger 2 other also found - Ellen 1749 Anne (buried 1745) - both in Aughton MARRIAGE of ROGER NELSON = MARGARET CHARLES 1735 in Ormskirk children - Anne 1735 in Ormskirk Henry 1738 William 1741 - then family moves to Aughton where Anne died. NOTE: Margaret is Mary's mother's name & Joseph Higham's first wife. COULD GO NO FURTHER unless use agent - Ormskirk records not microfilmed.
