 Howard will of Hugh late of North Meols Husbandman deceased
 proved 9 June 1798
 1. This is the last Will and Testament of me
 2. Hugh Howard of North Meols, in the county
 3. of Lancaster, Husbandman. I order all my just
 4. Debts, funeral Expenses and the charge of proving
 5. hereof to be paid out of my Personal Estate. I leave
 6. all my personal Estate & Chattles to Lease for the Tenement
 7. held by Thos Ball of Church Town under Miss Anna Maria
 8. Bold if such a Agreement can be made and if not my Will
 9. is that there shall be paid unto Elizabeth my wife the
 10. yearly Sum of 6 pounds out of my chattles or arising
 11. from the aforesaid Estate during her natural Life –
 12. I give and bequeath to my Son John Howard, my Son
 13. Richard Howard, my Son Tho[ma]s Howard, my Son Hugh
 14. Howard, my Daughter Jenny Howard, each the Sum of
 15. Twenty pounds either arising from the aforesaid mentioned
 16. Estate or out of my Personalty. I give and bequeath to my
 17. Wife Elizabeth Howard the bed, and bed Stocks on which I lie with
 18. everything thereto appertaining, two best chairs in
 19. my House, Fire Iron and everything thereto appertaining
 20. Two Tables, Corner Cupboard & Tea things. – Likewise
 21. my Will is immediately after my decease a Sale be made
 22. of all my live & dead Stock both within Buildings & without
 23. And as to the rest residue & remaining part of my Estate, Goods
 24. and Chattles, I leave and bequeath my Son William
 25. Howard, my Son Richard Howard, my Son Thomas Howard
 26. my Son Hugh Howard, my Daughter Ann Wright & my
 27. Daughter Jenny Howard equal share & share alike arising
 28. from the aforesaid mentioned Estate or out of my personalty
 29. Furthermore my Will is if any of my aforesaid legates, shall
 30. wrangle dispute or attempt to go to Law, respecting any
 31. thing I have bequested, they shall be cut off with
 32. one Shilling - And lastly hereby revoking all
 33. former & other Wills by me heretofore made, I nominate
 34. and appoint, my Son John Howard & my Son Richard
 35. Howard executors thereof in Witness whereof I have
 36. hereunto put my Hand & Seal this Twenty fourth
