Robert Ball, #10683 is the son of William Ball and Alice Wright. William Ball is the son of John Ball and Alice Charnley.
Robert Balls children, All of whom descend through Robert Ball and Ann Jump The daughter of James Jump and Elizabeth Ball mentioned later in the will.

Betty wife of James Jump of Halsall #11147, Daughter of John Ball "fisherman" and Ann Ball, John Ball "fisherman" is the son of John Ball and Alice Charnley. Betty marries James Jump. Their son James Jump "2055, is also named in the will.
John Ball and Ann Ball also have a son John Ball "fisherman" his will of 1742 is witnessed by Gilbert Ball giving another reason for believing the family connection. Incidentally John Ball "fisherman" mentions Alice the wife of James Jump #2055, son of James Jump who married Betty Ball in his will dated .
The late Peter Ball 10344 is the son of William Ball and Alice Wright. William Ball is the son of John Ball and Alice Charnley. Peter Balls children as named in the will are daughter Alice #16268, sons Peter #11410 and Thomas #11411.
Alice wife of Peter Blundell #11155 is the wife of John Ball "Shoemaker" christened 1718/1719 The son of Richard Ball and Anne Sephton. Richard Ball # 27251 born about 1689 is mentioned by John fisherman as being his brother in the three life lease of 1737. So he is the son of John Ball and Alice Charnley. The only puzzling part is he is not named in his father, John Balls will and he is definitely still alive. There is a possibility that he had already received his inheritance. Although, in my experience with North Meols wills generally when a child has received their inheritance they are named with an explanation as to why they are not inheriting.
John Wright of Marshside #814 is the son of William Wright who married Margery Blundell, William Wright is the son of Thomas Wright and Elizabeth Ball. Elizabeth Ball is the daughter of John Ball and Alice Charnley.
Dorothy Segar and her son William Segar are named next. Dorothy #13253 is the sister of Elizabeth Thomasis, wife of James Jump #2055. The James Jump who is named earlier in the will as the son of James Jump of Halsall #11147.
Robert Ball Executor is named above #10683.

two other details. William, Gilbert Balls brother proceeded him in death John is likely to have been buried 10 January 1800 but neither of them left any children of record. Giving one more reason why everything was left to cousins. The other detail concerns James Ball son of John Ball and Alice Charnley who died intestate in 1774, his administrator is Gilbert Ball Nephew. He also has a three life lease dated 1737. It includes Richard Johnson aged fifty years and Elizabeth Thomasis wife of Thomas Thomases aged forty eight years and himself aged thirty years.
