Note: N570 chr 1762 October 24 Alice d. of John & Margery Wright of Marshside chr 1766 September 28 Richard son of John & Margery Wright [altered to Hesketh] (1) of Marshside chr 1766 September 28 Alice daughter of William & Catharine Hesketh (2) of Blowick (1) "Hesketh" is written upon "Wright" --scratched out; "John and Margery" written upon something indecipherable and then struk out. (2) "Hesketh" struck out. Below, in another hand, is written to the parents of Richard or Alice is not clear. Both entries have been altered unskilfully. Alice Hesketh, is a real person, burial 1767 May 5 Alice d. of William Hesketh of Blowick Alice Wright, 1766 not a real person. There is an older sister Alice Wright who marries Robert Hunt. She is buryed 1798 aged either age 36, burial record or age 38 monument inscription so born between 1760 and 1762. Richard Hesketh a real person is age 84 in the 1851 census, buryed 1858 age 92 born 1766-1767. Richard Wright son of John Wright and Margery, I can find no burial that would compute to 1766 just a 1761 and a 1769. John & Margery have a child in 1764 and another in 1768, I think they must have had a child christened that day. Richard would be the logical name for the child named after Margery’s father.
