All of Thomas B. Hancock's children except John Hancock are named in deed dated 1 July 1879 in DB 38 P. 355 and in Deed of Partition approved in Henry Co., Ky Court on 5 June 1882.
It is therefore possible that this John Hancock died between the time of the 1860 census and the 1879 Deed. If this be true - then he was NOT the same person as the John Charles Hancock [the son of John and Fanny (Hoskins) Hancock] of Trimble County who m. Martha Tucker there in 1867, as follows:
