  Marriage Bond Book B Page 45 Anderson Co., Ky:
  "Know all Men by these Presents, That we, Melvin Johnson and F. T. Johnson of the County of Anderson, and Commonwealth of Kentucky, are held and firmly bound unto said Commonwealth, in the full and just sum of Fifty Pounds (equal to one hundred and sixty-six dollars and sixty-six cents) current money...dated this twelfth day of April 1852...wheras there is a Marriage shortly to be had and solemnized between the above bound Melvin Johnson and Mary Duvall for which purpose a License has been this day issued by the Clerk of the County Court of Anderson County, in the State of Kentucky; Now, therefore, in case there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation shall be void, otherwise the same shall be and remain in full force and virue. Test: A. W (?) Fenwick, DC, and signed by Melvin Johnson (his mark) and F. T. Johnson (his mark), "and by letter of consent of Parthenia Johnson to Melvin Johnson, Consent given by Guardians of parties, this 12th April 1852, (signed J. A. McBrayer, clerk); Letter of Consent proven by oath of F. T. Johnson (signed J. A. McBrayer, clerk)." After the marriage find "This is to certify that on the 14th day of April 1852 I celebrated the rites of matrimony between the parties within married (signed J. T. Hedges) See return made 27th April 1852. A copy attested by James A. McBrayer, clk."
  Mary (Duvall) Johnson is listed under Mrs. Melvin Johnson in Kentucky death records (Franklin Co) in Volume 36, Certificate #17738 death date of 7 Jul 1916. Her DOB is shown as 1836, but her age is listed as either 80 or 82 years, so probably age 82, born in 1834.
  Buried in Hawkins graveyard, Frankfort, Ky, located near a water gauge on the Kentucky State University farm property. However, the cemetery was bull-dozed in 1981. It is located on land sold off the rear of property now owned by Ira Best, 438 Wash Road, Frankfort, Ky 40601 (502-223-8969).
