  He and his wife Emeline are buried in the church cemetery - which is the scene of Norman Rockwell's painting entitled Springtime. The scene - which shows the Bennett and Bidwell headstones - is of Norman and Molly Rockwell, with friends, as they pedal past town hall, clock tower and the church, in 1971.
