She married (2) John Watkins Wooldridge August 23, 1830 in Woodford Co., KY; born November 28, 1786 (Source: Bryant O. Morris.); died 1836. That Jane (Torbitt) Gilmore (1790-c.1834), the widow of William Gilmore (died 1825) who was married in Woodford Co. on 8 Mar 1817 to John Watkins Wooldridge (1786-1836) as his 2nd wife, had two daughters by her 1st husband William Gilmore is supported by the following... "Henry Co Kentucky, 1798-1995," by the Henry Co Historical Society, states that Mary Ann Gilmore (wife of William Bryant Webb) was the daughter of William and Jane (Torbitt) Gilmore and that it is probable that Martha J. Gilmore (wife of John C. Morris) was also their daughter. The following additional info backs this up: The 1820 FC Ky - Woodford Co - which lists William Gilmore, head-of-house, as follows: 1 male age 26-45 [William] 1 female age 26-45 [Jane] 1 female age under 10 [Martha] Note: Martha, bn in 1819 would be the child under 10. Her sister Mary, not born until 1824, would not have been counted. 1830 FC - Ky - Woodford Co - lists Jane Gilmore, head-of-house, as follows: 0 males 1 female age 40-50 [Jane] 1 female age 15-20 [Martha] 1 female age 10-15 [Mary] John Watkins Wooldridge petitioned the Christian Co. court to release him from duties of guardianship of Jane's 2 daughters by William Gilmore so they could live with relatives in Henry Co. From Christian County Kentucky Court Order Book "G" Part 1 Page 381, dated Monday, April 30, 1832: "On motion of John W. Wooldridge he is appointed Guardian of Martha J. Gilmore & Mary A. Gilmore under the years of age & infant children of William Gilmore, dec'd, & being desirous he entered into bond in the sum of $3,200 with Francis M. Wooldridge & H. Ashford approved of as his securities." Related motions regarding this guardianship are found on Pages 495, 502 & 507) [end] The connection of John Watkins Wooldridge of Christian Co. with the family of John C. and Martha Morris in Henry Co. is further indicated by the 1850 FC (Henry Co.) which lists Jane Wooldridge, age 17, living with them. [This Jane is no doubt Martha Morris' half-sister, the daughter of Jane (Torbett) Gilmore and her 2nd huband John Watkins Wooldridge] [end]
