 JUDSON COTNER The funeral sermon over the body of Judson Cotner, who died in Hight Station Feb 22, was preached by Rev. G. W. Dalby of Matoon, at the family home, where his death occurred, at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Elders R. E. and E. D. Elder were present from Sullivan. The internment was made in the cemetery at Macon.
 Mr. Cotner is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Deliah Mathias of Macon, William Cotner of Decatur, Mrs. Annie Lewis of Abion, Edwards county Ills, Mrs. LIzzie Adams of Big Springs, Ky., David E. Cotner, Frederick Cotner, Edward Cotner, and Elsie Cotner.
 He also leaves a wife Mrs. Jane Adams Cotner, and brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. Sarah Adams of Decatur, Joel Cotner of Macon, Ills., Henry Cotner of North Dakota, Mrs. Eliza Richardson of Dalton City, Ills., Frederick Cotner of Walker Station, Ills., Emmet Cotner of Bruce, Ills., and Mrs. Julia Brennan of Pittsburg, Kan.
 Mr. Cotner was born Jan. 8, 1843, and died aged 62 years, 1 month and 14 days. He was born near Laconia in Harrison county Indiana. He served in the Union Army three years and 5 months, in the civil war and was honorably discharged. He was married to Miss Mary Jane Adams, Dec. 28, 1866. To the union nine children were born, of whom eight survive.
 The deceased joined the Baptist church in 1893, and died a member.
