Note: Catherine Wantland Decatur---Catherine I. "Rennie" Wantland, 90, of South Beloit, formerly of Decatur, died 3:50 p.m. Friday (Oct. 14, 1983) at Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit, Wis. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brintlinger West Main Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev. William Benninger officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Ceemetery, Decatur. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wantland was born Nov. 22, 1892, at Springfield, a daughter of Henry D. and Mary Jane Lehr Hoffman. She married Clarence H. Wantland Dec. 30, 1944, at Danville. He died Oct. 17, 1966. She is survived by a son, Henry Dalbert Eglin of Beloit, Wis.; two stepsons, Ralph Ansley Wantland of Urbana and Harold Wantland of Peoria; a granddaughter; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Wantland was a retired chief deputy in the Macon County auditor's office, where she worked 30 years. She was a member of the World War I Women's Auxiliary, Decatur.
