a. Note:   Mrs. Woolsey Rites Held Thursday at Vernon Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Woolsey, 79, who died last Wednesday , March 16th, at her home in Vernon, were held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Vernon Methodist church. Rev. Shaffer of Patoka officiated and burial was in the Vernon cemetery.
 Mrs. Woolsey's death was caused by pneumonia following an extended illness due to complications. She was born March 29, 1858, at Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Perkins. She had lived near Vernon for the past 26 years.
 She was united in marriage with Benjamin H. Woolsey on Janurary 13, 1883. To this union seven children were born. Mr. Woolsey and four childred preceded her in death, two children dying in infancy. She leaves two sons, Fred and Leslie of Vandalia, and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Law of Pana.
 She also leaves two sisters, Miss Nan Perkins of Vernon and Mrs. Alta Finch of Alma, and one brother, Clinton Perkins of Vernon. She was a member of the First M. E. church of Shobonier and attended services regularly when her health permitted.
