Note: Decatur Herald & Review March 1985 Walter W. "Bill" Renfro, 61, of 2505 E. Pershing Road died 2:55 p.m. Saturday (March 16, 1985) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Sevices will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Mr. Renfro was born in Macon, son of John and Esther Renfro. He was an employee of Caterpillar Tractor Co. and formerly worked for Barcol Overdoors Co. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 751, former member of Carpenters Local 742 and World War II Navy veteran. He married Mona Fae Goken in 1945. Surviving are his wife; sons, Gary W. and James E., both of Decatur; Donald R. of Argenta; daughter, Mrs. Dan (Darlene) Parker of Decatur; brothers, John J. and Charles M. "Max" , both of Decatur; Robert D. of Parma, Ohio; sisters Mrs. Jack (Kathern) Steele of Decatur; Mrs. Ike (Magdalene) Woods of Palatka, Fla.; Mrs. Ansley (Virginia) Wantland of Urbana; nine grandchildren; One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
