Note: Herald & Review 2 Oct 2011 DECATUR - Mildred Renfro, 93, of Decatur passed away Friday September 30, 2011 at Fair Havens Christian Home with her family by her side. A Celebration of Live Service for Mildred will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 5, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday October 4, 2011 at the funeral home in Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery in Warrensburg. Family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army or Donor's Choice. Mildred was born on May 17, 1918 in Warrensburg, the daughter of James Daniel and Matilda Birley Woodside. She married Charles "Max" Renfro on April 16, 1949 and he preceded Mildred in death on August 12, 1994. Mildred was a bookkeeper for Bold Machine Works and worked for Williams Green House in Mt. Zion for several years. Mildred is survived by her sons: James "Sonny" Renfro of Burbank, CA and Dick Renfro and wife Linda of Federalsburg, MD; daughter Susan Chapman and husband David of Mt. Zion; eight grandchildren, thirteen great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Russell and John, sisters Lettie Lowe and Louise Lowe, brother James and twin brother Marion "Bud" Woodside. The family would like to thank Fair Havens Christian Home staff, caregivers Diane Forden, Jana Chisenall and Dr. Costerisan for all their kindness and loving care that was given to Mildred.
