Notes
a. Note:   Moses parents are probably Peter Renfrow and Mary McIlroy. Came to Illlinois from Kentucky (See note under grandson, Albert Allen Renfro).
Moses probably had two wifes, the first wife bearing the 1st four children. See notes under the 1820 census.
 ----------
In the Butler Co. 1810 census, Peter, Mark, Joseph, John and William Rentfro living adjacent to each other.
note: Moses could have been living with one of his brothers as his father died in 1799.

-In the above 1820 census of Moses household, the 3 males under 10 could be Amos, Nathan and John; 1 male 16-25 Head-Moses (some think Moses was born in 1794); 1 female under 10-Sarah; the female 10-15 is not identified.
-This census supports that Moses' 1st wife died and is the mother of the first 4 children; and that Moses later married Elizabeth who bore him 9 additional children. Melvin Ridenour, whose Renfro research is in the LDS records in Salt Lake City, has that Moses married Elizabeth Jackson. In the 1840 Wayne Co. census, son Nathan Renfro is living adjacent to William Jackson.

Raiborne on Jan 14, 1823. (Butler Co., Will Book B:517 (as researched by Dr. D. O. Manshardt of Peoria, Illinois)
Do not know whether or not Moses son John, born 1818, survived until adulthood; perhaps Moses first wife and John died in childbirth.
