a. Note:   DECATUR HERALD & REVIEW, Apr. 1961: MRS. SELMA SPALDING 77, DIES; RITES WEDNESDAY: Mrs. Icy Belle Spalding, 77, Rural Route 7, died today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Adcock, Lovington. Mrs. Spalding had lived most of her life in the Macon area. She was a member of the Macon Presbyterian Church. She was born April 13, 1883, a daughter of Albert and Luthera Hill Renfro and was married to Selma W. Spalding Dec. 24, 1902 in Macon.
 She leaves her husband, daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Eva) Adcock, Lovington; Mrs. Charles (Edna) Landrith, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Herschell (Elsie) Bramel, Decatur; Mrs. David (Helen) Kothe, Florrisant, Mo., sons Selma Jr., Mount Zion, and Thomas, Moweaqua. One daughter preceded her in death. She also leaves a brother John Renfro, Decatur and sisters Mrs. Glenn (Mamie) Loomis, Bement; Mrs. George (Lena) Seagle, Nokomis; 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
 Five brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Macon Presbyterian Church, with burial at the Macon Cemetery.
 Friends may call at the Ater Funeral Home, Macon, after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
