a. Note:   Newspaper 6 Nov, 1950 MRS. CORA RENFRO DIED; SERVICES AT CUBBAGE CHAPEL
 Mrs. Cora Belle Renfro, 76, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Groff at 1324 South Walnut at 2:24 a.m. today. She had been ill for four years.
 Mrs. Renfro, who has lived in Marion county for the past forty years, has lived with her daughter for the past seven. She moved here from a farm in Tonti township.
 Born on Oct. 10, 1874 in Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Osgood, In 1888 she was married in Missouri to John Renfro who proceeded (sic) her in death.
 She was a member of the Cuggage Methodist church. Mrs. Renfro is survived by one son, Charles of Benton Harbor, Mich., two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Groff of Centralia, Mrs. Scott Ray of Salem, and one brother, Lynn Osgood of Avalon, Mo. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
 Funeral services will be held at Caggage Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. W. G. Wigham officiating. Burial will be at the Cabbage Chapel cemetery.
 Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. -----
 A letter written by Cora to Paulene Renfro Galloway, dated 26 Jul 1939, gives birth as Oct 10, 1875. The 1900 census gives Cora's birth as Oct 1875. Cora signed her name Cora Bell. (source: Rosa Lee Galloway Stevens)
